Panel Discussion
Road-mapping Training/Education for Boots on Tourism Grounds

The panel discusses latest developments in tourism and hospitality education in Asia. Presently, schools are submerged into other university units, but not so in Asia where the demand for trained professionals is rapidly growing. Speakers from Macao and Japan will share their expansion plans, reinforced by bridging theory and practice. The panel will spotlight China's national strategy for the establishment of a tourism education/training base for Greater Bay Area as well as Japan’s Asia Pacific University launch of a free-standing hospitality and tourism college. Conference participants learn how universities use traditional curriculum, augmented with new technologies/virtual training, preparing students to enter traditional and new hospitality and tourism markets armed with the art of self-branding. The participants may volunteer to join forces with these two Asian universities.
