Elidérico Viegas is President of Algarve Hotels and Resorts Association, Vice President of Confederation of Portuguese Tourism, and President of General Assembly of Algarve Tourism Region. He is Honorary Consul of Poland in Algarve. With education in hotel management and teaching hospitality courses, he is founder of several business associations. He regularly gives talks at national and international conferences and publishes opinion pieces related to tourism. Voted as one of the 30 personalities contributing most to tourism and as one of the 20 most relevant figures in the field, he is recipient of National Tourist Merit Medal; “BENE MERITO” Order; and “Grand Cross of the Order of Merit” (Poland). aheta@aheta.pt
