Rogério Conceição Bacalhau Coelho holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, with specialization in school administration. He has taught mathematics at João de Deus Secondary School and Pinheiro and Rosa Secondary School, as well as at the University of Algarve. His mayoral career started in 2009, when he became the Vice President of the Municipality of Faro, with the departments of Education, Human Resources, Finance and Notary. In 2013, he became Mayor, re-elected with an absolute majority in 2017. He is the second Mayor of Faro to be reelected since the restoration of democracy in Portugal. ap@cm-faro.pt
