Mário Azevedo Ferreira is CEO of NAU Hotels & Resorts, a Portuguese group comprised of 10 hotels and 3 golf courses. He took over this position in 2013, leading the biggest restructuring plan of a national company. Earlier, he led management positions at French hotel chain Primevère Hotels, Choice Hotels International, and other similar operations. For 13 years he acted as Economic and Tourism Counsellor at Portuguese embassies in Italy, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and France. A graduate of Glion International School in Switzerland, with a post-graduation in marketing and financial management, he is father of two girls, a keen golfer and was awarded the French Government’s Chevalier de l’Ordre du Merit. mario.ferreira@nauhotels.com
