José Lopes, with almost 30 years of experience in the aviation sector, started in Portugália, where he was responsible for network development, data mining, and budgeting. He took on the role of Airlines Development Director in the first private Iberian airport, Central Ciudad Real Airport. Since 2012, he has been easyJet Country Manager for Portugal. Leading a 350 local people team opened the first Portuguese base in Lisbon and a second in Porto. EsyJet’s Portuguese operation, that includes Faro and Funchal, increased from 3 million to 7 million passengers per year, and became the leader in British, Swiss, and Ethnic traffic in the country.
