José de São José is a sociologist, an Assistant Professor at the University of Algarve (Faculty of Economics), and a full member of the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences, New University of Lisbon (CICS.Nova). He has an extensive experience in qualitative research, having published several articles in top journals such as The Gerontologist, Journal of Aging Studies and Ageing & Society. He is currently interested in tourism in later life, being involved in a literature review on this topic.
