Gordon Sillence has been working as a sustainable development consultant for over 30 years, with a focus on Information & Communications Technology systems. He has also worked for the UN and World Bank and was a staff member of the European Commission’s DG Enterprise, preparing the EU Agenda 21 for the European Tourism Sector (2003), among others, before becoming Executive Director of the UN DestiNet Partnership’s Sustainable & Responsible Tourism ICT Portal (2010). He now manages the portal development as Tourism 2030 ICT director, running an international collaborative sustainable tourism Agenda 2030 knowledge base.
