ABSTRACTS/PAPERS SUBMISSION
Submission Guidelines
You can submit proposals for symposium, oral communication or poster.
For a symposium you should have a maximum of five oral communications, from at least three different authors.
The oral communications will be organized in parallel sessions.
Each communication will have 15 minutes.
For poster presentation you should respect maximum poster size A1 (Vertical/Portrait). We suggest Arial font, 24 points.
The poster do not need to have a formal presentation. However, authors should be near them, as schedule in the final program, to answer questions from other participants.
Nevertheless, it is also accepted presentations in Portuguese or Spanish but the abstract submission should be in English.
Abstracts should be sent by e-mail to CIEO2016@ualg.pt before February 29th, 2016.
Abstract Submission
For each abstract submission please fill in the form (click here) and send it by email to CIEO2016@ualg.pt, before February 29th, 2016.
For each proposal you should indicate the type of proposal (symposium, oral communication or poster), the main topic of the proposal (Cities and Spatial Dynamics; Organizations, Innovation and Learning Spaces; Tourism and Well-being in Society; Other topics), and the language of presentation in the congress (English, Portuguese or Spanish).
In the abstract, at the beginning, please indicate: research title, authors name, institutional affiliations and email contacts.
The abstract text should have 250 words maximum and three to five keywords are required.
For symposium proposals, you should give the information about all the oral communications and also present an initial general abstract. Also indicate the title and chair of the symposium.
Important notes:
To be included in the program, at least one author should pay the registration fee until the 31st March 2016.
Each author (or coauthor) can present three communications/posters maximum.
Paper submission
Your contribution might be published in the Journal of Spatial and Organizational Dynamics.
Paper proposals must be presented following the journal rules (click here).
Papers should be sent by e-mail to CIEO2016@ualg.pt, before March 31st 2016.
Prizes
The six best papers win the prize "best congress paper”.
From these six, two best papers of each main topic of the proposal (Cities and Spatial Dynamics; Organizations, Innovation and Learning Spaces; Tourism and Well-being in Society) will be published in a special issue at the Journal of Spatial and Organizational Dynamics.
Other papers will be published online in the congress website.
